Just think, around 2,000 years ago (give or take a day or two), there was a woman named Mary who was getting to the tomb where Jesus was buried. Boy, did she have the shock of a lifetime! The stone was rolled away and the tomb was empty! Having gone to get the others and come back, she found herself alone at the tomb again after everyone left. Then she heard Him, “Mary!” Instantly she knew the voice, “Teacher!” she cried!
This is my favorite part of the Easter story (besides Jesus beating death, hell, and the grave)! Jesus came out of the fight of an eternity, and He had Mary’s name on his mind!
This morning, know that Jesus had you on His mind! He defeated death and sin––not for a great story line––but for YOU! Oh How He Loves You! What a great line in the Easter story––He Loves You! Happy Easter, He Is Risen!
