Let Him Lead!

This passage of scripture is so eye opening to me.

The biggest fact is that you see Moses as a picture of what Jesus is going to come as in the future. There seems to be a pattern in the midst of this picture.

The nation of Israel went against God in Moses’ leadership. Even to the point of mocking what God has said to Moses. We then see the same thing happen to Jesus, as He came to be the true Savior of not just the Jewish nation, but the whole world!

God moved through Moses with many miracles and signs and wonders, but his own people still rejected the provision of their God. Jesus did the same, still many people of His on nation called for His death.

Moses led the people of Israel through the Red Sea on dry ground, people doubted whether the would make as they began their journey on the other side of the sea. Jesus calmed the storms of the seas, walked on water, and gave sight to the blind, the lame walked, and the dead were raised! Yet there was still doubt.

Let’s learn from the pattern of others around us. Let’s not follow the examples of those that have gone before us. Let’s be led by Jesus, the one who gave His life as a ransom for us! Don’t let doubt and sin corrude our lives, but let the Freedom of Christ lead us in our journey in this life!

In the moments of wilderness, rough seas, and uncertainty – Joshua 1:9 reminds us, “For the Lord our God will be with us wherever we go!”
Let’s let Jesus lead!
