“Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God!” What a statement of faith! Our God is a great God, capable of doing things that we cannot even fathom! Think through the fact that He created all that we see in this world in just 6 days. He parted the Red Sea. He caused time to stand still. He fed 5,000 plus people with just one order of “fish and chips.” AND… He defeated death, hell, and the grave!
In the world of “church” and Christianity, 80% of the “work” is done by 20% of the people. It seems that the church is really good at “expecting great things from God,” but we are not very thorough in “attempting great things for God!” A small percentage of the church buys into the greatest strategy in the world––telling the world about Jesus!
As you consider your part in the support of missions, can I ask you to focus on 2 things…
- What are we hearing God say to us about supporting missions? “God, what will you provide for my family so that we can give to missions this coming year?”
- Would you consider being a part of 100% of “Your Local Church” being involved for this coming year? If we all come together and play a part in this monumental task, certainly “Great Things Will Happen!”
Duet. 28:1-8“If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. You will experience all these blessings if you obey the Lord your God: Your towns and your fields will be blessed. Your children and your crops will be blessed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be blessed. Your fruit baskets and breadboards will be blessed. Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed. “The Lord will conquer your enemies when they attack you. They will attack you from one direction, but they will scatter from you in seven!“The Lord will guarantee a blessing on everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
I Love Missions! I love the local Church! Thank you for being “COMMITTED” to spreading the Gospel around the world! I wonder what God will do through our commitment!
