Can you believe it? It’s EASTER! The Passion of the Christ, the beautiful spring colors, the desire to be outside finally becomes a reality. Easter truly is the second best time of the year! The bookends of Christ’s life, Christmas and Easter! The long winter is wrapping up, and the warmth of the sun will be fueled with clear skies, long days, and wonderful sights, smells, and sounds!
To get to Easter, though, you have to go through Good Friday. What a title for a day that was not really a good day for Jesus. It was a pretty traumatic day if anything. The bottom line, He gave up his life on that day – that was good for you and I!
Let me set things up very briefly: Jesus died, 3 days later He was resurrected, about 2000 years later – you and I are faced with the decision to believe in the single greatest love act ever given to mankind – believing in Jesus – after knowing that He gave His life as a ransom from sin for you and I! Can you believe it?
Easter is not really about Easter eggs, bunny rabbits, pastel colors, new outfits, lamb and roast dinners, and lots of chocolate! It’s really about death turned to Life! It’s about a second chance! It’s about rebirth, from sinner to Saint! It’s about going from winter to Summer, cold to Hot! It’s about the decision to let go of your pain, hurt, desires, and wishes; and turning to the One who has a path for you that will lead to a life everlasting. A life that for eternity will be void of pain, let down, anger, sin, and violence. It’s a life that is solely built on the rock of Christ and the love that He has for you!
It will be Saturday, April 4th, 2015 that most people will read this post––the day before Easter. Can I ask you to do something before Easter 2015? Will you ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins? Will you turn away from the things that drive you away from Christ, and then to truly believe that Jesus does loves you and He is really jealous for you––

John 3:16 (NLT) “For this is how God loved the world: He gave[a] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Can you believe it? I can. I did. It radically changed my life!
You too can believe it! Just a little bit of faith and then trust that Christ will guide you and keep you!
You can celebrate Easter in a brand new way! Yes You Can!
