Can He really do this?

So right now in this point in my life, I am really depending on God for more than my fair share. Have you ever been there? It feels as though everything in my life is based not on anything that I can do, but all on things that only He can do. When I say everything, I truly mean EVERYTHING! I keep asking myself over and over again, “Can He really do this?”

Well the answer is YES! YES, HE CAN! BUT GOD CAN! HE WILL!

Now we are coming into truly my favorite time of the year – FALL! I love it for so many reasons, but there are 2 reasons that surpass all the others…

1st reason – Sweatshirts and Jackets! I love long sleeves! I am not sure why, I just always have. I don’t think I have ugly arms, I just love sleeves. As a matter of fact, my favorite baseball player nickname is Sleeves. I had a kids on the team, he played catcher and in the middle of July, he was wearing sleeves. He truly deserved his nickname. (JT, I love you bro!)

2nd reason – The flavors of the season. Now I spend all of August, September, and October tasting the fall flavors, all in preparation for the day of Thanksgiving! I don’t let Jen cook much on that day (usually just mashed potatoes), so that means I can just create flavorful masterpieces (at least in my own mind). Flavor Town USA! Let me expound… I love the flavor of pumpkin. My favorite coffee provider has a Pumpkin Spice Latte’ that I just love! Extra nutmeg please! How about pumpkin spice English Muffin, lightly (yeah right) lathered in butter and sprinkled in cinnamon sugar! AMAZING!!!! Pumpkin Pie – can I get a witness! Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream, so so good! I just love PUMPKIN!

Pumpkin Spice Cheerios

Well it happened in the grocery store the other day… are you ready for this… Pumpkin Spiced Cheerios! Can Cheerios really do that, yes they did? GOLD right there! And they are great. Now I bought them for my daughter, she has a Gluten Allergy, and all Cheerios are Gluten Free, but I think she has only had 1 bowl, and I even heisted 2 bites of them! General Mills, just made the season of Fall a whole lot better! I am so grateful for that! Walking down the isle at the store, they are already new what I would like, and there it was!

This morning when I woke up, I was have a little bit of a pity party for myself. It is really frustrating, to not be in the place you want to be, doing the thing you want to be, with the people you want to be – it is a hard place. But then it happened, God does something amazing – HE spokes to me and told me, “I got this!” Right in the middle of my pity party, He speaks to my soul…

Don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed.” James 1:4 (MSG)  Rick Warren “Life’s Healing Choices – The Beatitudes”Be patient with God and with yourself. One of life’s frustrations is that God’s timetable is rarely the same as ours. We are often in a hurry when God isn’t. You may feel frustrated with the seemingly slow progress you’re making in life.” Remember that is never in a hurry, but He is always on time. He will use your entire lifetime to prepare you for your role in eternity.

Can He Really Do This? Send me what I need to hear, before I even know I need to hear it! Why Yes He Can! And He Did!

But God Can! And God Did!

So, remember whether you are in the middle of a pity party or you are on top of the world…

Don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed!” James 1:4
